So many times, we get so self-involved that we don't even think about how we treat others. I believe in karma, how everything we do comes back to us. When we are not considerate of others, others are not considerate of us. And although it is one of the most difficult things in life to do, when something bad happens to me, I try not to react to it or be angry, but instead, I try to do something nice for another person, and it always comes back to me.

Well I would definitely recommend his autobiography written by Alex Haley on the basis of several interviews. I think it's such a loss that Malcolm X was assassinated, especially because his story is so amazing and he really turned things around in the end. To read about his journey from the streets of the ghetto's, to being "Muslim" in the Nation of Islam, to finally loving and respecting all no matter their race after he performed the Hajj. So beautiful, mashAllah. This is my favourite quote by him: "I'm for truth, no matter who tells it. I'm for justice, no matter who it is for or against. I'm a human being first and foremost, and as such I'm for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole." - Malcolm X
