Here's what I think about the first video I think this guy, with all due respect to him and his good intentions, does not know a thing about what Palestinians suffer every god damn single day,he doesn't know about the poverty they have to live in,the months they spend waiting for their salaries, how many houses they've lost, how many children were killed, burned till death.. He doesn't know how many days they'd spend without water..without electricity, how many miles they have to travel to meet their families,or how many check points they have to wait and how much time they have to wait until a patient is transported to a hospital It's easy for him to say that there has to be peace and that we should all live in happiness ever after,I wonder if he lived ONE day in their conditions, would he still want peace? I'm sorry but when it comes to Palestine I hate these mushy jolly words coming from people who know nothing about the suffering there...no we will not live in peace and we will definitely NOT be happy ever after as long as they're burning our children, peace is not an option and if they don't know much about it the least they could do is just shut up.
Thank you for sharing, absolutely loved the both of them!
I think the one from TED has such an important and powerful message that truly could change the world.
As for the one about women's illiteracy, I've always believed that the best way to change people's circumstances is education. If you don't know your rights, how can you fight for them?
Btw, I tried to msg you through your email thingy at the top, but I'm not sure you got it. Would you send me an email at rksteg at gmail dot com? Thank you!
i think he was talk about the possibility of peace and what can it do to the suffering of people.
Don't you think that peace might help stop the sufferings of the Palestinian people ?.
I have read a lot about their sufferings, but i still want to read more. Why don't you write a post about that topic. I am sure you will write it beautifully. So this is an offer to you for a guest post on my blog about" the suffering of the Palestinian people". :)
He was talking about the Israeli-Arab conflict as if we were fighting over the last cookie 0_O This is not about us vs. them through history,he got that whole thing messed up!,this is about them stealing our land, killing our children and then coming on TV saying "Oh sure we want peace!"
Of course peace will help everyone but first Israel has to want it,or at least act on what it says! I'm not just attacking,I've seen it with my own eyes,I'm half Palestinian, most of my family lives in Palestine and I visit Nablus every once in a while, and even all of that isn't so important...all you need is turn the TV on and watch the news! Internationally forbidden guns and weapons being used everyday against people including CHILDREN,that's the least I can remember right now...oh sure, let's have peace with that! Even the UN buildings, the TV buildings, mosques, churches, hospitals and anything you could think of was attacked by the Israeli army, after all of that,do you really think these people want peace?
Palestinians have the right to defend themselves and their country with all methods, after everything that is being done to them I would never blame them, and anyone who says they're terrorists for trying -and I emphasize "TRYING"- to defend themselves then they can kiss my a$$..pardon my French!
As for the post,as I told you Foof,it's really just there.. all you need to do is watch the news everyday, but if you like I'll be glad to write about it There are posts about that in my blog by the way :)
