The Island of the dolls is an island located in Mexico. It was a place where a hermit by the name Don Julian Santana lived for the last 50 years of his life. He was married by then decided to abandon his family and lived all alone there.
The place is called The Island of the Dolls because of the dolls Don Julian planted almost everywhere and they are the creepiest dolls . Don did this because he said he was haunted by the spirit of a young girl who drowned in one of the canals surrounding the island.
Rumors say that he used to fish these dolls from the water because he thought they were real children. But actually he was collecting as a shrine around his place for the spirit of the dead girl who tormented him. He even traded fruit and vegetables for old dolls.
This island is now one of the world’s weirdest tourist attractions.
Don Julian Santana was found dead in 2001 in the same canal he said the little girl was drowned in !!!
